Tarah Artistic Director/Owner
Tarah has been a part of The Dance Factory for the last 29 years . She received extensive dance training at the prestigious Tremaine Dance Studio in Los Angeles where she was a scholarship student. She has also studied at the University of Kansas and participated in many regional and national dance conventions and competitions. She has traveled to Australia with Dance International USA. Tarah earned a degree in Sport Psychology from Washburn University.

Kara Educational Director
Kara has been involved with The Dance Factory for the last 27 years. She earned a degree from Washburn University in Early Childhood Education. Kara enjoys teaching tap, hip hop and jazz to a variety of age levels. She has attended many dance conventions including Tremaine and West Coast Dance Explosion, as well as professional classes in Los Angles to further her dance education.

Val Associate Director
Val has been involved with the Dance Factory for the past 18 years. She was a member of the Competition Team and the Competition Company. Val was a recipient of both the Quinn Dauphin Memorial Scholarship and the Patterson Dance Scholarship. Her favorite style of dancing include character jazz and tap. Val is currently enrolled at Washburn University working towards a degree in Elementary Education and is a member of the Washburn Elite Nationals Dance Team.

Jennifer Faculty
Jennifer is excited to begin her third year teaching at the Dance Factory where she danced until her graduation from Seaman High School in 2006. She has received extensive dance training from Oklahoma City University's Ann Lacy's School of American Dance and Arts Management. Jennifer has performed with the American Spirit Dance Company, including a special performance at the televised Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular with Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and more!!

Alanna Faculty
Alanna has been a part of the Dance Factory family for 11 years. She was a member of the Competition Company and Competition Team for 7 years as well as a work study assistant for two. Alanna was a recipient of the Quinn Dauphin Memorial Scholarship in 2004 and the Dance Factory Studio Scholarship in 2005. Her favorite styles of dance are contemporary and tap. Alanna is currently working toward a dual degree in Nursing and Psychology at Washburn University where she is also an active member in Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.

Austin Faculty
Austin started dancing at the Dance Factory at the age of 9. He was a member of the Competition Team and Competition Company. He was a Tremaine Assistant and has been a student of the Broadway Theatre Project Apprentice program. Austin was also a performer for Royal Caribbean Cruise line and has performed with Deborah Cox and Joe Tremaine. He has been involved with local theatres such as Topeka Civic Theatre and Helen Hocker Theatre. He is currently enrolled at Kansas University studying Public Relations.

Pam
Merchandise Director & Rhinestone Designer
Pam began volunteering at the Dance Factory in 1990 when her daughters Zann and Quinn began dancing. She enjoys writing poetry, scrap booking, collecting ladybugs and quotes. Pam also enjoys being grandma to her granddaughter Quinn and new grandson Landon. She runs the Dance Closet as our Merchandise Director and is the Rhinestone Designer for all the competition and recital costumes.

JB Studio Director
JB has been working behind the scenes of the Dance Factory for the last 6 years. He has been involved with many different aspects of the studio and is looking forward to focusing more on management. JB is excited to begin his second year as Studio Director.
